Two ghanaian fashion designers to participate in Los Angels fashion week in the united state

​FWLV and Shimmer Magazine will be hosting the 11th season of FWLV in August 2017. We kick off with the  International Emerging Designers for August 2017.

International Accessory Designer from Ghana,Pearl Amoah Accessories will be soon available in the United States at the International Fashion House  in Los Angeles

4 Ghanaian Fashion designers and two models have been selected to be part of the Social Media Fashion Week Las Vegas competition,the 4 designers and the 2models  participated in both the 2nd and the 3rd edition of The Pearl Amoah Fashion Show which was organized  by Pearl Amoah a super model and a legend in the fashion industry.

These was announced last night at the nungua junction mall during the 3rd edition of The Pearl Amoah Fashion Show which was themed "The Red Show".

The PEARL AMOAH FASHION SHOW  is an initiative with the aim of finding tomorrow’s top designers and giving them a platform that would otherwise be unavailable to them to help them increase their clientele.
The first, the second and the third edition were all  considered a success by all involved, Pearl Amoah and her team are all looking forward to its next standout show coming soon. 

They  will announce the winner, WHO HAD THE MOST SHARES AND LIKES COMBINED RECORDED IN THIS ALBUM. THE WINNERS  ( TOP 3 WOMEN'S WEAR AND TOP 3 MEN'S WEAR DESIGNER  WILL ATTEND SEASON 11 IN LAS VEGAS TO COMPETE IN THE LIVE COMPETITION AUGUST 17-19, 2017.

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is the Biggest, most anticipated, most patronised and most significant Entertainment event on the Ghanaian music calendar.
But controversies surrounding the annual award event have always been the talk of town since industry players and Ghanaian music lovers share their views on changes or additions made by the organisers of the VGMA.
With reference to last year’s (2016) VGMA categories, the award scheme had thirty ( 30 ) slots but in this 2017 entry, three categories were scrapped making twenty-seven (27) in all.
It is uncertain why Charter House dropped the three (3) categories but dwelling on previous complains and comments from a section of the public, claimed that once Peace songs are released every four years during election year it’s unfair to add that category.
Others shared their opinions on the Music for Development Award as a category which will only see artiste(s) do songs to win the awards and are unable to sustain their projects. Critics have also described the African Artiste of the year category as needless since other dropped categories to awards Ghanaians can replace the African Artiste of the year category to honour and appreciate Ghanaian musicians and other music industry who have released work(s) that have generated the most public excitement within the calendar year of the scheme.
Last year the Gospel Album of the Year category was suspended because according to organisers of the awards event, the gospel albums submitted were not enough and those that were submitted did not have the minimum requirements of three hit songs, Lifetime Achievement Award and MUSIGA Merit Award were also merged.

The Ghanaian fashion icon Pearl Amoah had the most fun on her birthday!
Surrounded by family and  friends, the model started celebrating   her new age with a thanks giving service at Glorious wave church international at sakumono, followed by a lunch with friends and family at Njoy hotel at Lashiebi a suburb of accra.
She had an all white birthday dinner/night out Held at  Ox lounge inside osu , a fashion runway was projected  within the lounge for a lingerie fashion show by the   models. Pearl Amoah  orchestrated a glitzy VIP surprise dinner party for designers,hot models and friends to usher in her New age

It was a super fun filled fashion party where everyone had a lot of drinks and  fun the whole night.


ONE GHANA CONCERT

One Ghana concert to be held on  January 7th

As part of the activities marking the swearing in of President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the transition team has announced a musical concert on the night of the inauguration.

The event, dubbed One Ghana Concert, will take place at the Independence Square at 10pm.

A number of local artistes are expected to be on stage to party late into the morning of December 8.
President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo will officially take over power from outgoing president John Dramani Mahama when he is sworn into office on Saturday January 7.
Nana-Akufo-Addo will become the fifth president of the Fourth Republic.



BIRTH OF A LEGEND

young 16 year old form-five student was hailed in the street by a stranger for a chat that changed her life forever. The momentous event involved Pearl Amoah one time Ebony model of the year 1999 which occurred on the streets of Accra, the Ghanaian capital in 1994. After her initial reservation had been cleared, Pearl joined a modeling coach for a few tricks in the art of the catwalk. In order for the message to be driven home that free things in life are not usually appreciated, the new counselors of the future catwalk sensation insisted that she should pay for her lessons. Three weeks after completing her tutorials, Pearl had her first modeling job.

She was one of the models for a fashion show that was organized by the House of MacDanielli (Margaret Ofori- Attah) in Accra.

Pearl went on to appear on SMASH TV. She also featured in a number ad campaigns in Ghana notably for Metasol medicated soap, Voltic Mineral water and Spintex, a venture that earned her the accolade “beauty by nature”. 

Combining Beauty, Intellect and a Big Heart for the Less Fortunate

ImagePearl Amoah served as Miss Universe Ghana 1996, and an international model in the United States, Paris, London, Germany, Ivory Coast and Ghana. She was awarded with the Ebony Africa Model of the year in 1999.

In 1999 she established Fashion House, a highly successful fashion boutique and PearlProjects for her incredible talent in creativity and design in Accra. There is always an opportunity for Pearl Amoah to help promote events in Ghana. She choreographed the fashion segment of the Millennium Excellency 2000 awards and was presented with the best choreographer of the millennium.

In 2001 Pearl launched Fashion Week in Accra. She produces it annually by bringing together top designers all over Africa to celebrate the African art, textiles and designs of all sorts. Pearl lunched her debut line Pearl in 2004 in Accra then later partnered with JP Miller and lunched JosephPearl Line in 2004. In 2005 Pearl & JP opened the first boutique in Soho NY.
In 2006 she was invited by the Harvard Business School as a Fashion Moderator for their annually conference organized by the African Business Club.
ImageAt the moment She is a well known Fashion / Interior and architectural designer. Pearl Amoah has a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management from Westbourn University London, and Architecture & Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York.

Pearl  has worked with some of the world’s most acclaimed designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Vivien Westwood, Halston, Donna Karen, Alberta Ferreti, Ralph Rucci, Jakie Rogers, Armani, Valentino and many more. Photographers such as Peter Lindberg, Dewy Nicks, Marco Glaviano, Frank Otten and Gean-Luca have captured Pearl’s radiant beauty for various magazines such as Vibe, Paris Voici, Essence, Black Elegance, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and Cosmo Girl. She also booked campaigns such as Fruit of the Loom, Oil of Olay, Black Hair, Spiegel and Black Opal.

Pearl isn’t only about the glitz and glamour of the fashion world; she has worked on a number of humanitarian courses to ameliorate the plights of her people. In 2005, she helped a non-profit organization to organize a charitable soiree in New York to raise money for Ghanaian homeless children. Since her return to Ghana, Pearl has devoted her time and resources to helping the needy in society. She has held a charity fashion show fundraisers in support of autistic children in the New Horizon Special School, as well as fishermen in some fishing communities in Accra. She also has an ongoing project on leukaemia and lymphoma.

Pearl is the founder of   Advocacy Aid for Street Girls (Aastreg) in the year 2009 pearl initiated the first ghanaian sewing reality show which was sponsored by Mtn and Daviva  known as Mtn Daviva sew project  and was shown on national television station (GTV). Pearl again on 14th October 2016 launched the Pearl Amoah fashion  show, a monthly fashion event to help up and coming designers and lifestyle brands to increase their clientele.

The award winning Dancehall act born CHARLES Nii AMARH MENSAH JNR known by his stage name as shatta wale who is well known for his outspoken nature, in a recent interview has revealed that he was deeply hurt by the organizers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The artiste was speaking in a radio interview with Sammy Flex on Okay FM where he expressed some worries on issues surrounding the awards scheme.

Shatta Wale fearlessly told Sammy that, he became a child in his attempt to make peace with the organizers – Charterhouse when he openly rendered an unofficial apology to them but it yielded no results.

“Sammy, you know I made myself the small boy and openly apologized to them but they still not listened to me. They have really hurt me deeply but leave all.”
As things stand now, it remains unclear if Shatta Wale would listen to his fans and put up a nomination for the awards.
Meanwhile Charterhouse will on January 9, 2017 open its doors for nominations.

Its a new year and surprises are all set for the entertainment industry one of which is the sammual Atuobi Baah move
Growth of the entertainment industry can be attributed to radio and television discussion programmes and flex on pluzz 89.9fm was one of such shows with samuel Atuobi Baah popularly know as Sammy Flex as the host , Samny started hosting flex on pluzz on sunday 15th, December 2013unday.

But information reaching us indicates that the entertainment show host Samuel Atuobi Baah known as Sammy Flex has said goodbye to the media outfit he has been working with for the past few years.
The radio presenter we are informed joins the drive team of Okay FM which is headed by award winning broadcast journalist and tourism ambassador Gilbert Aggrey also known as Abeiku Santana.
Sammy Baah who had been off air for while due to an ongoing restructuring at Pluzz FM in a post on Facebook explained the need not to keep mute over ongoing issues since it would be unfair to those who follow him.
According to him, the station was being relocated to the West Hills Mall and was also “going through managerial restructuring”
However, we are informed Pluzz FM has new owners and has as part of new measures put on hold all programmes till further notice.

Sammy’s new role will be on Santana’s Drive show, where he would have a slot to discuss showbiz issues, provide entertainment tidbits and do interviews with high-profile personallities.
His new destination is at the Shiphouse at Abeka Junction.
It is uncertain what would happen to AM Pluzz and which new personality would take over the hosting of the show.

Maccasio hosted shatta wale

African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, was hosted by Northern rapper Sherif Abdul- Majeed, popularly known as Maccasio on the 1st January 2017 for a concert dubbed ‘The Too Big Concert’
The concert was named after their historic collaboration.
This show took place at the Tamale Stadium, and also saw supporting performances from artist like  Don Sigli, Gaffachi, Morgan, among other budding acts.
Together with colleague Fancy Gadam, Maccasio has brought music from the northern part of the country to prominence, because of several well- patronised concerts they’ve staged in recent times, especially at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
Maccasio, who recently performed alongside Afropop star Davido in Tamale, was recently signed  by Giant malt as brand ambassador has also revealed that he's eyeing a nomination at the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana music awardshas .

BBC’s DJ Rita Ray has listed Ghanaian singer/ rapper Worlasi as among the African acts to look out for this year.
Worlasi was listed in the company of Guinea’s MHD and Tanzania’s Vanessa Mdee.
Signed to Supreme Rights Records , Worlasi is widely regarded as among the brightest shining emerging acts in the country currently. Well, according to some sections of his fans, Shatta Wale did what can be described as friends and family award but not fan’s award. Some also said Shatta sold the car to the ultimate winner, Sekley Moses at a discounted price.
Shatta Wale has taken to his Facebook page and he has this words for all and sundry.

A loyal fan of the Dancehall champion Shatta wale:sekley moses received the ultimate New year's gift Sunday morning at the the just ended Tigo Ghana's festival of lights which was held at Nungua junction mall
Other prices like educational materials, Iphones and laptops were given to other fans who have been supportive on social media.
An overwhelmed Shatta wale couldn't hold back his tears as he watched viral videos by sekley moses before presenting him with keys to the vehicle.
Before giving out the gift Shatta wale
served his fans with some of his hit songs including , Talk talk, Cocoa season, Hold it, Kakai, Obodobidi , Bie
gya , if I collect, and kpuu kpaa.
